Merry Christmas and Happy 2014!

Ginger I, 2013

 ‘Ginger I’

Every year I paint a new holiday painting. This year’s feature is “Ginger I,” acrylics on canvas, 20x20in.The ginger figural cookie making was practiced in the 16th century. It dates back to the 15th century. The first documented instance of figure-shaped gingerbread-cookie appearing was in the court of Elizabeth I of England. She had these gingerbread cookies made to serve them to her distinguished guests.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

All the best,
